This track was inspired by all the mutton birds that did not make their destination and fell from the sky through exhaustion. Their bodies were strewn along the beach as I took one of my early morning walks when I lived at Swanhaven on the South Coast of NSW.
lyrics
Catch Me – by Aria Stone
Save your breath
It won’t go away this silence
That lines the walls
Between us
This forever
Eats my flesh
To dust I will become
And I will blow away
The ocean is wide
Wider than the breadth of time
And love’s desires
Save heed my call
I’m a bird in flight
About to fall
Do do do do do
Catch me
Do do do do do
Sure I’m lost
But somewhere
Beneath your skin
There lives a part of me
I can’t explain
Inside this void
I will scream
And I will shout out loud
The ocean is wide
Wider than the breadth of time
And love’s desires
Save heed my call
I’m a bird in flight
About to fall
Do do do do do
Catch me
Do do do do do
Catch me
Do do do do do
I’m falling into you
Blue
Falling into you
Listen now
I am swallowing pride
And my voice
Is rising to the surface
There is no shame
The part of me
That dances in your heart
Is burning like a flame
The ocean is wide
Wider than the breadth of time
And love’s desires
Save heed my call
I’m a bird in flight
About to fall
Do do do do do
Catch me
Do do do do do
Catch me
Do do do do do
Catch me
Do do do do do
Catch me
Do do do do do
Catch me
Do do do do do
