I was motivated to write the song 'Corridors' after meeting the organisers of the Regent Honeyeater Habitat Restoration Project who plant corridors of trees to protect the small birds and animals in the region. The song was composed during my time spent at Benalla with ANU Field Studies and was recorded at home in Dwarf Studios.
lyrics
Corridors – by Aria Stone
There are corridors of time
We all walk upon
Corridors in buildings
Where the dealings are done
There are corridors of light
Shining in my head
I make a vow right now
To change what lies ahead
Oh come on
Oh come on
Come on let’s make this a beautiful world
Come on let’s make a beautiful world
Come on let’s make this a beautiful beautiful world
There are corridors of space
Up amongst the stars
Corridors of silence
Between Jupiter and Mars
There are corridors of hope
Written on the wind
I make a vow right now
To change what lies within
Oh come on
Oh come on
Come on let’s make this a beautiful world
Come on let’s make a beautiful world
Come on let’s make this a beautiful beautiful world
Beautiful
Beautiful
There are corridors of trees
Planted with love
Conversation corridors
To protect from above
There are corridors of hope
Still dancing in my head
I make a vow right now
To change what lies ahead
Oh come on
Oh come on
Come on let’s make this a beautiful world
Come on let’s make a beautiful world
Come on let’s make this a beautiful beautiful world
Come on let’s make this a beautiful world
Come on let’s make a beautiful world
Come on let’s make this a beautiful beautiful world
Beautiful
