This song was written while experiencing an icy winter during my first year at uni in Canberra. Frost was on the ground and I was missing my coastal home and my friends. It is a song about leaving people and places behind.
lyrics
Safety Cracks – by Aria Stone
Sometimes when the cold winds blow
I feel a chill in my mind
I’m just a stranger in this lonely town
And I miss my home
I stand I fall I dream I believe in something
More than this
I call I reach I miss your touch but its
All behind me
Footsteps crunch across the frosty ground
I throw my mind in the trees
And all the blossoms are waiting to become
What I hope to be
I walk I pray I know that someday
I will be released
I crawl I fly I miss your touch but I
I know it’s all behind me
Too many ghosts haunt like safety cracks
While winter melts
Haunting this landscape
Here
Sometimes when the cold winds blow
I feel a chill in my mind
I’m just a stranger in this lonely town
And I miss my home
I stand I fall I dream I believe in something
More than this
I call I reach I miss your touch but its
All behind me
I walk I pray I know that someday
I will be released
I crawl I fly I miss your touch but I
I know it’s all behind me
It’s all behind me now
I know its all behind me
